Nitesh Chawla
Nitesh Chawla is the Frank Freimann Collegiate Chair of Engineering and associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. His research focuses on machine learning, data science, and network science—and he works at the frontier of interdisciplinary applications in healthcare analytics, social networks, and climate/environmental sciences. He serves as director of Notre Dame’s Interdisciplinary Center for Network Science and Applications, Data Inference Analytics and Learning Lab, and ND Gain Index. He is the recipient of multiple awards, including most recently the 2013 IBM Big Data Analytics Award.
